Customer Presentation Slide Program
Slide 1: HP introduces new multiuser SCSI mass storage
systems. These systems com in a floorstanding mini-tower
enclosure and a rackmount standard enclosure. The model
numbers indicate both the approximate Mbytes the particular
model offers but the enclosure type as well:
F=floorstanding, R=rackmount, and D= has a Digital Audio
Tape drive for the base configuration. All other models
have a disk drive for the base configuration (the megabytes
dependent upon you, the customer). All models are
expandable, compact mass storage packages.
Slide 2: HP's popular Model 330S and 660S are compared with
the new Models 420F, 420R, 670F, 670R, 1350F, and 1350R.
The results indicate HP's newer models are greater in
capacity and higher in performance.
Slide 3: The HP Series 6000 multiuser mass storage models
have firmware designed to maximize operations on HP systems,
power fail recovery which is a must for commercial
marketplace users, and flexible, expandable packaging which
minimizes customer floorspace usage.
Slide 4: These new HP models are supported on HP's new HP
3000 Series 9X7 and HP 9000 Series 8X7 operating systems.
Slide 5: HP Series 6000 multiuser mass storage models have
four devices that can be integrated into either the
floorstanding mini-tower or rackmount enclosure: CD-ROM,
DDS-format Digital Audio Tape, 3.5-inch hard disk drive, and
5.25-inch hard disk drive. The disk models can also be
integrated into the new Series 9X7 and Series 8X7 system
enclosures.
Slid 6:Taking this concept a step further, you can integrate
the rackmount models and the system enclosures into the 1.1
and 1.6 meter cabinetry. The floorstanding mini-tower is a
standalone mass storage product that cannot be integrated,
but is designed to be complimentary with the floorstanding
system cabinets.
Slide 7: This slide shows the internal storage and the
supported devices that fit into the Series 9X7, with the
maximum internal storage available.
Slide 8: This slide shows the internal storage and
supported devices for the 8X7 series, again with the maximum
internal storage.
Slide 9: In addition to the systems having maximum
configurations, the new HP Series 6000 multiuser mass
storage systems have maximum configurations. The
floorstanding mini-tower "F" models maximums depend upon the
full-height or half-heights integrated into the enclosure.
There is a maximum of seven half-height equivalents in this
model, and a maximum of seven peripheral devices on a single
SCSI bus.
Slide 10: The rackmount "R" models have maximum
configurations of seven peripherals on a single SCSI bus.
The "box" itself has three slots available for devices. One
device (disk drive or DAT) is configured with the base
product leaving two remaining slots available for additional
devices. Note the slot in the back can only hold disk
drives (since CD-ROM and DAT require customer access on-line
or from the front).
